With the introduction of the Leica I in 1925, photography was revolutionized and the 35mm format was established as the new standard. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Leica I and as a homage to 35mm photography, Leica Camera AG is now introducing its first true Leica 35mm film: the black-and-white MONOPAN 50.
It combines ultra-fine grain and super-panchromatic sensitivity, achieving outstanding sharpness and remarkable tonal value reproduction. The low light sensitivity of ISO 50, combined with our fast M-Lenses, make shots with a wide aperture possible even in bright lighting conditions – for that unmistakable Leica bokeh.
